The Information Security Practices at GAVS came in for a special praise by BSI Auditors as being amongst the best practices being adopted by top 1% of organizations worldwide.

Dharmendra K. Vasant, CEO, GAVS has been nominated to CII panel on IT and Telecom industry. The panel plays an important role representing the interests of the industry by deliberating on issues that affect the IT industry. The panel participates in the process of developing the vision, policies and the strategy for government policies applicable in the IT and Telecom industry. Besides this, the IT panel helps organize various IT industry meets, exhibitions and international conferences.

GAVS has been chosen as the provider for an offshore based 24 x 7 fully managed IT production support service by StorageTek Corporation, a leading provider of storage solutions for digitized data, headquartered in Louisville, Colorado. The order value worth USD 5 million is spread over a two year period. The newly launched international support center in Chennai, India set up by GAVS with an investment of over USD 1 million, is responsible for the IT support and management of StorageTek international's IT production systems. The center has been designed using state-of-the art Network Operation Center products, Voice over IP (VoIP) and Enterprise Management Solutions.

I am very proud of StorageTek in winning this prestigious 2002 WebAward. StorageTek had very strong competition for this coveted prize; Nearly 1,300 sites were in the fray, making it the most competitive to date. A panel of nearly 250 industry professionals, including web designers, marketing managers and editors, judged the sites. StorageTek's marketing team delivered again, providing the vision, design, format and layout for this awarding winning website (www.storagetek.com).

GAVS new world class offshore development center at Chennai was e-inuagurated by the Indian IT minister, Mr. Pramod Mahajan on 1st November 2000 from New-Delhi. This was the first time in India's IT history that an e-inauguration took place.
