A leading bank, with global operations.
The Challenge
The bank needed a system to ensure it followed global quality standards.
We also needed to re-train the banks IT team and help the department
evolve into a profit center.
The Solution
We implemented a Quality Management System compliant with IS0 9001:2000,
BS 15000 and PCMM. The GAVS team started from scratch, formulating
the objectives and structure of the quality initiative. A comprehensive
road map was prepared to detail this quality journey.
We then introduced and implemented standards and practices from
ISO 9001:2000, BS 15000 and PCMM in a structured, phased manner.
This included preparing the necessary manuals, documentation review
and audits.
To ensure that the QMS would maximize return on investment, we
helped the bank set up processes for project management and define roles and responsibilities. This was followed by intensive training
sessions.
The Benefits
The banks IT department has experienced significant increases
in operational efficiency, as borne out by user feedback. More
consistent, predictable functioning has helped de-risk operations
and establish stronger control. All these factors have helped transform
the department into a profit center.
